Original La Vista
The condition of La Vista’s original
neighborhoods has been under review for several years. In
January 2004, the La Vista Community Foundation asked Dr.
Robert Blair, Mr. Jerry Deichert and Dr. Russell Smith and
their urban studies class to assist in updating information on
demographics, residents' perceptions of the area and the
condition of housing.
Students from the Spring 2004 course,
Interdisciplinary Studies on the Urban Community, gathered
demographic data, developed a resident survey and developed and
conducted a housing conditions rating survey.
